Session 1 · THRIVE: Value
Make the Personal Best Guide
- 10 minPlan the class guide: warm-up cards, training-method posters, a fuel and recovery page, and a 'how to set a goal' page.
- 30 minIn groups, make one section each. Use your own experience, not your results.
- 10 minTest a warm-up card or poster with another group. Can they follow it without help?
Session 2 · THRIVE: Evaluate
Retest and reflect
- 10 minWarm up exactly as on baseline day, so the test is fair.
- 20 minRetest your three tests in the same way, same place, with the same partner if possible.
- 15 minCompare with your baseline. Reflect privately: did you reach your goal? Which principles made the difference? What would you change?
- 5 minPlan what's next: a new goal, keep going, or try something new.
Getting started
Give each group a sample page layout for the guide.
Stretch
Offer the guide to the sports coordinator for use before athletics day, and run a warm-up for a junior class.
Checkpoint
You can explain your progress using your own data and training principles, and the class guide is ready to share.
