Session 1 · VOICE: Create Conclusions

Claim, evidence, reasoning

  1. 10 minShare sky-watch results from home. What did people see? What got in the way (clouds, streetlights, the Moon)?
  2. 25 minFinish your product and add a 'How we know' panel: one claim, the evidence from your tests or models, and the reasoning.
  3. 15 minPractise explaining your product to a partner in under two minutes.

Session 2 · VOICE: Evaluate

Rocks to Stars showcase

  1. 10 minEvaluate: what does your model get right and what does it leave out? (A scale walk shows distance but not size; a lamp model shows phases but not real distances.)
  2. 30 minPresent at the showcase: junior classes walk the Solar System trail, whānau use the rock key and sky guide.
  3. 10 minReflect: what is one thing you now notice about rocks or the sky that you did not before?

Getting started

Present with a partner, using your product as the main visual.

Stretch

Write a short guide so another school can build the same Solar System walk on their own field.

Checkpoint

Each product has a 'How we know' panel and one honest limit of the model or key.
