Session 1 · AUTHOR: Understand
Feeds, algorithms and digital features
- 10 minShare diary findings: what surprised you about how much media you meet?
- 15 minUnplugged algorithm game: the teacher acts as 'the feed', choosing which cards each student sees based on what they tapped last. What happens after five rounds?
- 15 minDigital features hunt on a teacher-chosen web page: hyperlinks, embedded video, share buttons, comments, menus. What does each one want you to do?
- 10 minTalk: online posts can last a long time, be copied and be seen by people you didn't expect. What does that mean for what we post?
