Production day
- 10 minSafety and permissions: film only people who've agreed; no names or faces online without permission.
- 30 minFilm or record, following the storyboard. Use at least three different shots or angles on purpose.
- 15 minEdit: trim, add captions or credits, check every source is listed.
Session 2 · AUTHOR: Respond
Screening with the junior class
- 10 minSet up the screening. Explain what the junior class will learn.
- 25 minShow the pieces. After each one, ask the juniors one question to see whether the message landed.
- 10 minReflect: what did the audience understand? What would you change?
- 5 minWrite a short media-maker's statement: purpose, audience, one technique you used and why.
Getting started
Make a three-frame poster instead of a video.
Stretch
Add a short 'making of' reflection that shows how you chose your shots and checked your facts.
Checkpoint
Each group has shared a finished media piece and can explain one technique they chose and how the audience responded.
