Session 1 · DESIGN: Improve
Change one thing
- 10 minLook at the sensory scores. Which attribute scored lowest? Pick one change (less sugar, thinner slices, more spice, longer ferment).
- 30 minMake trial two, changing only that one thing.
- 10 minSecond sensory panel with the same tasters. Pūkeko asks one question about your change.
Session 2 · DESIGN: Give Value
Kai, culture and value
- 20 minHear from a whānau or community cook about how their family preserves or shares kai. Note the method and what it means to them.
- 20 minCompare your product with theirs: what is the same in the science, what is different in the tradition?
- 10 minWrite the product story: where the kai came from, who it is for and what waste it saves.
Getting started
Change the lowest-scoring attribute first.
Stretch
Work out how much waste your product would save if the whole school made it for a term.
Checkpoint
Two rounds of sensory data showing whether your change helped, and a product story.
