Build the exhibition
- 10 minLook at the mud columns: what colours and layers have grown? Photograph them for the exhibition.
- 30 minPrepare your station: a microscope with a slide ready, your labelled drawings or photos, your cell model, and your evidence poster that answers your context's puzzle.
- 15 minRehearse your two-minute explanation for a six-year-old. No word they would not know without explaining it.
Session 2 · VOICE: Evaluate
Hidden World open day
- 30 minRun the stations for your buddy class and whānau. Help visitors find cells for themselves.
- 15 minEvaluate: How much do you trust your experiment's result? What could have affected it? What would you change if you ran it again?
- 10 minReflect: what is one thing you now notice about living things that you did not before?
Getting started
Use the station checklist: slide ready, drawing labelled, one poster, one sentence for little kids.
Stretch
Write a short letter to the garden or kitchen team answering their question with your evidence and one suggestion.
Checkpoint
Every station has a working microscope view, a labelled record and a poster with a claim, evidence and one limitation.
