How sure are we?
- 15 minLook at the spread of your repeated runs. Were they close together or all over the place? What might have caused the difference (winding, floor, a bent axle)?
- 20 minFinish the 'Pressure at work' poster or explainer about one real tool: labelled drawing, force arrows, the science in three sentences.
- 15 minRehearse explaining your car to a younger student in under a minute.
Session 2 · VOICE: Evaluate
Car-racing morning
- 30 minRun the racing morning with the junior class: each group explains one change and why it helped, then lets the juniors launch the car.
- 10 minShare posters with whānau or the visiting tool user. Ask them one question about how they choose tools.
- 10 minReflect: what did you change your mind about, and what would you test next?
Getting started
Present with a partner using the car and one graph.
Stretch
Write a set of instructions so another school can build your car and test it the same way.
Checkpoint
Each explanation names the force, the evidence and one limitation of the tests.
